Universo Has a Sound Larger Than Life

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman November 18, 2013 1:06 pm Tagged With: Brazil, Pop, Rock, South America

Leo Bor of Universo Universo is a Brazilian rock band whose sound will definitely have you feeling larger than life.

In the spirit of arena rock classics, Universo is an album full of epic sounding rock compositions with plenty of pop appeal to grab listeners’ attention worldwide.

We recently interviewed Leo Bor, creator of the band as well as lone lyricist. He also played guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard on the record as well as acting as producer. Other members featured on the album include, Jack (Vocals), Del(Bass), Meika (Vocals), and Rafael (Drums).

Each song on this record is strong enough to stand on its own but they also form a very well crafted album. I haven’t heard rock music like this in quite some time.

Universo was released in September of this year independently but the band has received interest from labels in both Brazil and the U.S. Good luck!

Including everything from powerful, in-your-face rock and roll to more mellowed-out, acoustic flavored singles, Universo creates music for the universe.

This album is poetic, it rocks, and you should go support the band.
