Fire and the Romance was founded on one principle – the desire to create a sound that is new, unique, and relatable.

With years of experience writing, recording, and touring under their belt, this bi-coastal band comes together to create a larger musical idea that Dion Roy feels is needed in the world.

Dion lives in NYC. Part of the band also lives there but the other half lives in Los Angeles. NYC members include: Leo Fraire on drums, Jamie Pitrelli on bass, and Peter Roessler on guitar. LA members include: Jenn Stone on keys, Topher Mohr of Mayer Hawthorne on guitar, and Tom Breyfogle on drums.

The group’s new single – Way Down Below – was born out of a vocal melody in Roy’s head. In Dion’s words,

“Way Down Below was born out of a pretty vocal melody idea I had in the middle of the night, but grew in just a few hours into this untamed emotional demon, complete with teeth and a killer haircut. You just can’t look away.”

The Adaptations EP will be available in Spring of 2014 but for now the band is touring and anxiously anticipating how the world will react to their newest musical compositions.
