Why Choose A Live Band

by Featured Guest October 29, 2020 12:26 pm

Why Live Band

When you are planning an event, music is typically a key feature of just about any type of event. Choosing a live band over a DJ or having music piped into your event may be a difficult choice for you. There are several factors that may make that decision a little easier. Before planning your next event, consider these points about a live band.

New England Live Band can bring a uniqueness to your event that a DJ cannot. It does not matter if you are planning a wedding, a dinner party, or some other event, it is meaningful to you. You want it to be memorable. Professional musicians bring a special touch to the event. Many people are not able to experience live music complete with instrument solos. Live bands are creative and flexible. They can change just about anything associated with the music. They can make something shorter or longer, or speed it up and you would never know they are making changes. Typically, a DJ is limited to the music they have or can access on the internet. A live band can read the room and determine what is needed, perhaps an up-tempo song, at that particular moment.

A live band brings energy to your party. It is a raw kind of energy that works with the chemistry of the band and how they interact with the guests. They can come out on the dance floor and interact with people in ways that a DJ cannot. Even if your guests choose not to dance, they can still watch the band perform and basically see a live show. Many people choose not to dance and are left out by DJs. That is not the case when it comes to a band. A band is going to be more expensive, but you are also paying for several people and the talent they possess. You often get what you pay for when it comes to entertaining your guests. An experienced band will have a long list of songs crossing many different genres that they can play. Many people think of a live band as limited but that is simply not the case. A talented musician can play many different songs and music choices. If you give a list of songs to the band ahead of time, they will usually make sure they can play those songs.

With a band, you not only get songs and music, but you also get an emcee for your event. Most band leaders are showman and like to talk to and lead the audience. They can make any announcements that you would like. It is helpful if you provide those announcements written out ahead of time, if possible. The band also has a sound system that they can control. They are able to lower the volume as needed, such as during dinner.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
