Nashville Rocker YØUTH Debuts Full Length Album, Blame

YØUTH-Blame

Nashville born and raised multi-instrumentalist and alt/rocker YØUTH (aka Julian Dente) has unleashed his debut full length album Blame.

Allow me to point out the importance of “Nashville born and raised” versus the typical “Nashville based” as I so often type onto these pages…

In a time where I receive submissions from waaaaaaay more bands who have moved to Music City chasing a dream, Julian is from Nashville.  Although he doesn’t have much to say about his youth, he grew up surrounded by the music industry: the tour buses, the studios, the songwriters and musicians, the late nights…the hypocrisy and corruption. In other words, music chose Julian. He’s simply doing what he has always done…making music.

As YØUTH, Julian has arrived with his first LP, Blame.

Considering the album has been shelved for years due to unforeseen complications, YØUTH‘s ability to create timeless music is immediately apparent.

Lush, atmospheric soundscapes collide with catchy melodies and enticing chord progressions evoking nostalgic feelings for a style of alt rock, punk-pop music lost in time. The single Crooked Lines features driving rhythms, a memorable hook, and everything great I remember from jamming alternative rock, as a teenager during the ’90s.

Just because this is a debut full length doesn’t mean YØUTH hasn’t been putting in major work. He has performed and toured the country with a really nice list of pop-punk artists including Liza Anne, Animal Flag, and Body Origami. He also opened for Dashboard Confessional during their five night residency in East Nashville earlier this year.

Blame is now available on Spotify.

Jam and share Crooked Lines on Soundcloud.
