Brooklyn based songwriter, synthesist, and lyrical hard hitter ZGRT has delivered a potent new single and visual accompaniment for the song Hard Power.

Thought provoking and subversive lyrics meet head on with a scintillating soundbed of electro-syth-post-punk frequencies for a wild ride through the intricacies and nuances of hard versus soft power.

Hypnotic elements of house and dance music blend with techno and synths for a dissonant but impactful audible journey through seven minutes of grabbing rhythms which aim to jolt you out of your political complacency and start your brain to really thinking about what you stand for and what you’re going to do about it.

ZGRT is the moniker of Zachery Allan Starkey. For Hard Power, ZGRT had production assistance and final mixing contributions from DFA’s Gavin Russom (Black Meteoric Star/LCD Soundsystem/DFA Records). The vocals for this track were recorded and engineered by William Andrew Raposo of Midnight Magic.
