Annie Fitzgerald Arrives With Smooth, Folk-Pop-Rockin’ Vibes On New Album, You & Me & The Sun

Annie Fitzgerald-You and Me and the Sun

Singer, songwriter and noted artist to watch by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Annie Fitzgerald has arrived with her latest folk rockin’ album, You & Me & The Sun.

With songs ranging on the folk spectrum from the more folk pop-ish Be Like A Tree to the blues-infused, folk rock tune Black & Blue, Annie seamlessly blends various elements of roots music genres into a cohesive package that is guaranteed to rock you, soothe you and charm you through each of the 10 tracks included on the album.

Released on June 1st (2018), You & Me & The Sun was produced by Danny O’Brien (The Farewell Circuit, Dem Yuut) and features musicianship from  a group of highly talented creatives. The music is a healthy and alluring balance between uplifting, infectious pop textures blended with just the right amount of raw, roots-rock attitude.

Returning to her home of Minneapolis after 10+ years in NYC allowed Fitzgerald more room to get in touch with her roots resulting in an album packed full of intimate honesty, emotional depth and a soundscape that perfectly sets the mood for each of the ten featured songs.

I can’t choose a favorite song but I am thoroughly enjoying the sounds of the entire album. In a single-centric industry, it’s always refreshing to find entire albums worthy of my listening time.
