In this interview spotlight, we speak with Ant Vibe about influences, the latest project, surviving in the digital age and more.

Full Q&A along with links and streams below.

Let’s dive a little deeper into You, the artist and your music. What attracted you to this genre/style?

I’ve always had a passion for music since I picked up the guitar at 6 years old. As the times and genres evolved, so did I. I found myself freestyling for friends…then came the writing…then came the recording process which leads me to where I am today.

How long have you been creating and sharing your music with the public?

I have been recording music for a little over 6 years to date. The marketing and business aspects haven’t became a serious matter until just a year ago.

Who or what influences your playing and/or writing? Also, what motivates you to keep going?

The feedback and reactions from my homies and people who are close to me definitely influences my writing. That ties into the motivation. I do it for the people in my life and myself. I like to see the progression over time. Growth is the most important thing in life and it just shows me that the sky is truly the limit.

Were you trying to accomplish anything specific with “Find Me”? Creatively or otherwise?

Yes, I wanted to tear down my personal wall between underground and mainstream. This record definitely has that radio feel to it and I see good things coming from this one moving forward.

What was the last song you listened to?

One of my unreleased records.

Which do you prefer? Vinyl? CDs? MP3s?

Accessibility-wise, MP3’s. Authenticity-wise, CD’s. Nostalgia-wise, vinyl. I’m cool with anything.

How about this one…. Do you prefer Spotify? Apple Music? Bandcamp? Or something else? Why?

I personally like apple music the best; then spotify. They’re the two I mainly use.

Other than the digital era overwhelming us with access to an abundance of music, what are one or two of the biggest challenges you face when trying to attract listeners to your music?

I think the hardest thing about it is, nowadays, there’s too many people doing the same thing. Not that I believe there is competition, nor am I being complacent, but the population of the passion makes it really easy to blend in. Having that mindset is so important because if you take notice and make the efforts to truly stand out and be unique, then you will accomplish just that.

Do you gig, tour or perform? Do you ever live stream? Where can music lovers see you live?

I’m currently on an occasional gig schedule. I haven’t live streamed yet though I do plan on it. You can see me at Bourbon & Branch in Philadelphia, PA on December 11th.

Where is the best place to connect with you online? Discover more of your music?

Any of my social medias. I’m always on them. Twitter – @antvibereal, Instagram – @antvibereal, Facebook – Ant Vibe,Soundcloud.com/antvibeofficial, Snapchat – @sirac_boy, Apple Music/Spotify/Pandora/iHeartRadio/etc – Ant Vibe.

Any last thoughts? Shout outs? Words of wisdom?

Shout out to all of my homies for the continuous push, my marketing team, public relations, engineer, and everyone who plays a role in this process. We workin’.
