Tu P

Tu P is the perfect example of an artist on their grind. When this Brisbane, Australia emcee isn’t creating music you can find him practicing medicine. We were fortunate enough to get a little bit of his time for this interview to discuss hip hop, medicine, and influences. Instead of repeating your bio, briefly tell […]

Word To Break Your Heart by Steph Barrak

Steph Barrak began learning piano and clarinet in middle school but, considering she found herself improvising her own melodies instead of reading the sheet music, she gave up formal lessons at age 13. She then picked up her sister’s guitar and began writing songs on 1 string. She eventually got the courage to try a […]

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman February 1, 2013 1:36 pm

Every year 2 million+ students take the SAT. This interesting lyric video to the song Goodbye SAT asks, “what does it measure? does anyone really know?” We all have an opinion about standardized testing, so if you are one of those that isn’t really for it… you can dig this song. Goodbye S-A-T encourages colleges […]

Reading this one should be quite fun. To start, let’s tell everyone who you are, where you are from, what type of music you […]

Hiding in Public - Inner Anarchist cover

Hiding In Public arrive with their feel-good, British pop-rock vibes to deliver Inner Anarchist. This album goes beyond songwriting into what I would classify as songcrafting. Reading into their bio it is easy to find why this music is so good. From their bio: The band features the soulful singing and tasteful guitar work of […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
