Lover Our Lips Have Left Us by Two Star

I must admit that I have listened to Lover, Our Lips Have Left Us by Two Star several times at this point and am still struggling to find adequate words to describe this indie rock, power-pop masterpiece. This is the ultimate love letter to any one finding themselves in a stale relationship. Balancing on the […]

Bellingham, Washington’s The Heligoats might be headed by the guitar-strumming mastermind Chris Otepka, but it is ultimately a collective of musical talent that forms an incredible indie rock soundscape. The music is powerful, energetic, and in-your-face. Otepka’s imagination and creativity blend in to set his style of music apart from the abundance competing for attention […]

Yellow Brick Road by Ross Davis

Ross Davis has been busy building his Yellow Brick Road and this 7 song collection does not disappoint. As the image above suggests, this is music you can chillax to, vibe out to, and roll down your windows and ride out to. These 7 originals have a vintage feel but Ross does a great job of adding […]

Black Tar Pineapple by Rob Loncto Is A Worthwhile Experience

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman November 20, 2012 11:23 am Tagged With: Acoustic, Alternative, Folk, Rock

Black Tar Pineapple

Black Tar Pineapple is an experimental folk rock experience that lies somewhere between The Who and Nirvana. Rob Loncto’s newest album blends elements of acoustic, folk, and rock to create an in-your-face wall of sound reminiscent of the bad boy rock acts from the ’60s and ’70s: The Who, Led Zeppelin, you know where I’m […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
