Brian Stevens – Strike & Set

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman December 13, 2011 2:13 am Tagged With: Alternative, Americana

Brian Stevens is excited…

Brian is on Abandon Hope Records

to announce the release of his new EP, Strike & Set now available on Abandon Hope Records. The release will be supported by tour dates in California, Oregon and Washington in February, 2012. Tour dates to be announced soon. The digital version of the EP is available in the Brian Stevens webstore on Reverb Nation.  Related links are listed below.

Tearing straight out of the heart of Northern California, plays the rough and tumble acoustic tunes that grab you by the guts and pull until you bleed. A sound that’s hard to pin down, Brian Stevens takes the fierce rumble of classic punk on a journey through the Southern dust bowl, emerging with a modern and unique version of timeless American music. Defying tradition and trespassing across genre lines with his unrestrained songwriting and uncompromising live show, Brian is rearing to unleash his bold vision onto the world when his debut full-length LP hits the streets this winter.

After a good listen, I gotta say, I’ll do it again. Brian’s got a neat way of laying down some pure alternative americana sounds. Great stories, thought provoking lyrics, foot-stompin’ jams, the cat is on.  Catch his record in all the usual spots or pick it up through ReverbNation.
