Crazy, Smokin’ Shit on the Cannibus

by C Bret Campbell March 28, 2013 11:22 pm

Sometimes it takes me a minute to get there, and that happened today, in more ways than one. You ever have one of those days when drivin’ along the river is too nice to go to work just now? Yeah that’s part of it… Cannibus… it rolls along in a phat ass zig-zag … I […]

The Fire Inside David Sprague

David Sprague

It’s no coincidence that David Sprague titled his new album The Fire Inside. David is a true lover of music. When he picks up a guitar and starts to sing, dammit you listen. This young man and his instrument are a true expression of what happens when heart and soul speak through music. With catchy […]

Kung Fu Academy’s Super 8 Flashback

Kung Fu Academy

Now this is as tasty a jam as my grandmother’s secret recipe. Bobby (vocals/guitar), Laurence (guitar), Duncan (bass) and Fraser (drums) had no intentions of forming Kung Fu Academy. But, while studying music at Napier University, their teacher brought these four musicians together for a one-off performance. As if it was meant to be, they […]

On The Line by WithoutSpaces

WithoutSpaces is an indie, alternative, Christian rock band from the West Coast who have arrived with their album On the Line. We recently published an interview with this talented group who recently opened for Switchfoot and Relient K at Joshua Fest in 2012. Fortunately this album is far from what I expected to hear considering […]

Photographs Epitaphs and Frosted Glass by Paul Foster

Paul Foster is a busy man. In our interview, we discussed finding a balance between children, wife, life, and music as well as influences and Paul’s background. Paul also leads the National Guard band but today we are here to talk about the collection of songs Paul has intriguingly titled Photographs, Epitaphs, and Frosted Glass. […]

Vocaliz The Lesson Plan

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman March 24, 2013 1:43 pm Tagged With: Hip Hop, North Carolina, United States

The Lesson Plan by Vocaliz

We recently interviewed Vocaliz but now we’re back with a look at his album, The Lesson Plan. As soon as you push play it is obvious this is unique. Something fresh for the realm of urban music… How refreshing! Vocaliz definitely has an advantage with his multi-cultural background and multi-lingual tongue. Weaving back and forth […]

Today we have a special treat for you. We were fortunate enough to be offered this opportunity to premier Jamie Block‘s video for BA Man.   Whitecaps On The Hudson (review) Jamie Block worked his way up the [music industry] ranks in the 90s but like many before him, he was dropped by Capitol. What […]

On The Line by WithoutSpaces

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing WithoutSpaces, a Christian Rock band from Bay Area, California. These guys have been busy but they gave us a few minutes to discuss the latest news and what inspires their music. Let’s crack the ice. Who are you? Where are you from? What style of music do you […]

Blues In The Key of Sea by Doug Prescott Band

I have never been a fan of one-hit wonders so it’s always a pleasure when a band we have reviewed before sends us a new album. As soon as I clicked play on Blues In The Key of Sea by Doug Prescott Band, I began to smile and I began jamming out until the music […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
