“Cry Of War” – A Stirring Anthem of Resilience in Ukraine’s Struggle for Freedom

by Leslie Sherman September 28, 2023 11:11 am Tagged With: singer, songwriter

In a world where music has the power to unite and ignite our spirits, “The Cry of War” is a reminder that music can be both exhilarating and meaningful. It chronicles the war in Ukraine. Starting with the invasion then it starts to look into the future of the conflict where Ukraine prevails. In the final verse, the Russian people rise up and overthrow Putin. Then Russia becomes a fledgling Democracy

It’s a song that captures the essence of resilience and the unbreakable spirit of those who stand up for what they believe in. It appropriately is pure hard rock energy and has undertones of anger (as it should). If you are a fan of Black Stone Cherry, We The Kings or Black Star Riders you will love this powerful and confident track inspired by the unwavering patriotism of the Ukrainian people amid Putin’s aggression driven by greed and power will resonate with listeners on a profound level.

The song will also be released on Ukrainian radio, underlining its message of unwavering love for one’s country and the fight for freedom.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
