Fraction & Finsta Deliver Thoughtwork, Get Your True School Hip Hop Fix!

Fraction and Finsta-Thoughtwork

Ontario based emcee Fraction and Brooklyn based producer DJ Finsta (of Finsta Bundy) have teamed up to deliver their first album in six years. Thoughtwork is now available.

Founded in East Coast Hip Hop culture, Thoughtwork reminds us of the greatness that is known as Hip Hop’s Golden Era. In a world where lyricism has been sacrificed for the mumblings of party rappers, Fraction & Finsta are a beacon in the darkness acting as a guiding light to all listeners who don’t remember the days of thoughtful lyrics, competitive flows, and honest, accessible, soul nurturing song content.

Fraction is a veteran emcee and producer with 25+ years experience who has worked with a Who’s Who of Hip Hop artists including: Nas, Raekwon, Redman, Obie Trice, Royce Da 5’9, Elephant Man, Rahzel (of The Roots), Akon, Kardinal Offishall, and Jim Jones. Fraction has multiple releases and collaboration projects in his portfolio as well as accolades including peaking at #3 on CMJ Charts and #1 on Canadian Earshot Chart with his Extra Science (2012) project. In 2008 he took the crown for 91.5 The Beat’s Rhythm of the Future Contest and appeared on the CBC show Dragon’s Den in 2010 as well as other TV shows including MTV’s The Real World and UK’s Best Ink.

Finsta started his career with the group Black Moon which helped him plant his roots in the NY underground Hip Hop scene. He has since worked with an impressive list of artists including: Da Meatminerz, DJ Krush, GERM, DJ Tonk, Che-Fu, Manuel Bundy, Da Steez Brothas, DocTMK & DJ Suspect, Bazooka Joe, and the Tru Comers. Finsta has performed in Germany, Switzerland, Japan, New Zealand and in the U.S. as a solo artist/DJ and as part of his group Finsta Bundy. You can catch him on Saturdays 8-10 PM EST during his show Hip Hop, Beats & Thangs on Bushwick Radio.

As a lifelong Hip Hop head, I love this album.

You can connect directly Fraction & Finsta on FB, IG or Twitter.

Thoughtwork is available from Bandcamp.
