G Clef Fusion Explores Sonic Frontiers with Latest Progressive Jazz Rock Fusion Album, QB1-OS

G Clef Fusion-QB1-OS

Without the ones who fearlessly venture through the frontiers of discovery and exploration, we would be stuck with the same ‘ole boring cookie-cutter nonsense that gets pumped out in a music industry hung up on following formulas and squeezing itself into the daily lives of pop culture consumers.

Fortunately, Maryland based G Clef Fusion (aka Chuck Moyer) isn’t afraid to lead us through uncharted sonic territories.

With a true sense of exploration, an undying urge to continuously improve his technical skills, and never afraid to get lost in the deep abyss of music theory knowledge, G Clef Fusion delivers an electrifying, energizing blend of progressive jazz rock fusion on his newest project, QB1-OS.

QB1-OS is a collection of 15 high energy instrumental jams guaranteed to get your toes tapping, your body moving, and your imagination flowing. With song titles such as Five Hour Trip From Neptune, Nudiusterian Hiraeth, Periglacial Dreikanter and B-Edsel Bulb, it’s safe to say that this sonic voyage takes us out of this world and delivers us to a space where soulful organs, jazzy drums, and dancing synthesizers collide for an upbeat, unpredictable flight through the mind of a passionate musician and performer who refuses to fall into formulaic traps.

Relying on more traditional keyboards and synths when in the studio, G Clef Fusion prefers pulling out the trusty Keytar for live performances. This is what he had to say about this unique instrument,

The Keytar has an interesting history along with its much-maligned status as a “keyboardist trying to be a guitarist”. But some great keyboardists pioneered it… As a solo performer I took on the Keytar as a symbol of the past pushing boundaries and of the technical potential now available that I can do a lot with that one keyboard strapped around my neck.”

Chuck Moyer on using the Keytar for live performances.

If you need a pick me up and appreciate the more complex sounds of progressive rock and jazz fusion, QB1-OS needs to go on your list of must listens.

You can support the project on Bandcamp.
