Electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist Damon Kelly produces some really groovy ambient, IDM, and lounge sounds as Gentoo and the new album Structures is now available.

In addition to his musical prowess, Gentoo has history and experience with the fields of photography and literature which further push his journey into creating art; whether it be songs, images or through written word.

All of this culminates into a unique, aurally pleasing interpretation of the human species’ current predicament…adapting to living in a world of sensory overload, population concentration (into smaller and smaller areas) and how these influence the way we interact with the space around us.

Structures is an apt title for this ambient, enchanting but somewhat haunting swim through a dark ocean of noises layered in a way that creates intriguing textures to infiltrate the psyche causing your mind to wonder and contemplate.

You can feel yourself floating if you close your eyes and allow the music to take you deeper.
