Interview with CLO

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman June 9, 2019 9:47 am Tagged With: California, Los Angeles, R&B, singer, songwriter, Soul, United States

CLO

New LA Starlet on the scene, CLO spoke with us about her next moves and her studio days.

Hi Clo. How is your summer going?

Hello! My summer is going amazing so far. I plan on finishing up my record, traveling, and playing shows when I can.

Are you excited about new music coming out of the studio soon?

In fact, I am! It is a really exciting time for me as I wrap up this album with Warren Huart. I am so proud of my songs, and am ready to share my music wth the world.

Where are your favorite LA places to hit the town?

My favorite places to hangout in LA are definitely on Melrose. Melrose has my favorite food, and shops in LA! I also am obsessed with the beaches here, Santa Monica and Malibu are my favs.

Latest new music picks, concerts?

I love live music!! My summer picks are : Billie Eilish, Leon Bridges, and Khalid.

What is your songwriting process?

When writing my music, I always do a “brain dump” which is when I write all the things down that I am feeling that day. I pick which vibe I’m going for, and roll with it.

How would you describe your music genre and sound?

It’s hard to put me in a box when describing my musical style… But if I had to describe it in one word it would be authentic.

Fiver year goal?

I am huge believer in manifesting your destiny, so my five year goal would be having an established career in the music industry. I hope to be touring and sharing my music with the world! But most importantly, my five year goal is to keep working hard, having a positive attitude, and to be happy and healthy.

Please let our readers know how to support you out there!

Thank you! If you want to support me, follow me on instagram @chloeuicker! I am finalizing my summer show dates, so please follow on social media to get updates!
