Interview with Kayla Yvonne on AITP Compilation Album and G+

by C Bret Campbell May 29, 2013 8:46 am

Artists in the Plus has had a lot of success with their totally G+ Compilation Album, in this interview we talk with +Kayla Yvonne of New York about G+ and the recent AITP Compilation Album

How long have you been making music?

Since I was 13 I have been making music, however only since this last October have I started to release music to the public.

What are some of your inspirations?

Musically who inspires me is Coldplay, JJ Heller, Of Monsters And Men, Mumford And Sons and even Billy Holiday and Patsy Cline and many others.

How long have you been using G+? Tell us about your favorite little quirks of the Plus style.

Kayla-YvonneI have only been using G+ since this last November. A quirk…hmmm, I honestly don’t think I have any related to G+ unless…you would consider me always having to post lots of things related to coffee on my status updates, some people could see that as weird me having to tell the world when I’m having a good cup of coffee!! Lol! What can I say….I enjoy the stuff!

How did you get involved with Artists in The Plus?

Well…a relative of mine Craig Pifer got me started on G+ ! Then he shared my video ‘Say’ with Billy Wilson who has his own show on G+ then Artists In The Plus found out about me from Billy Wilson! And from there on I have kept in contact with the very wonderful Artists In The Plus! There amazing!

How do you feel about being a part of this album?

It has been so much fun! And to be on a Album with so many other talented Artists like Rachel Koller and Frank Palangi and Shani some of my favorites, is very cool!

What is your favorite song on it? Why?

Well after my song Say of course 😉 …..then I would pick My favorite to be Replay by Rachel Koller it has such a cute sound to it and its a lot of fun to hear, I think girls can totally relate to guys making them weak in the knees 🙂

What do you think of Google Plus in general, and do you see anything “special” for musicians or other artists, there?

Oh yeah for sure!! I would say 100% that Google plus is great for musicians to get there name out there, especially if they take part in the Hangouts for interviews or Perform during the Hangout! I’m hoping to take part in some Hangouts this next month! Should be fun!

What’s next on your musical horizons?

Next…is to finish the Album were working on right now!!

Anything you’d like to add?

I would certainly like to add that John Voshell who takes care of Artists In The Plus is amazing and anyone who is reading this right now if your a musician then you need to go add Artists In The Plus on your Google Plus!

Where can we find you?

Houston, Texas for now.
