J.Ev Drops Smooth Instrumental Hip Hop Album, Vacancy

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman August 7, 2017 9:56 am Tagged With: Hip Hop, Instrumental, Oregon, producer

J.Ev-Vacancy

If you missed our recent interview with Portland based producer J.Ev, you can find that feature article here.

J.Ev recently dropped a smooth, soothing, chilled out instrumental Hip Hop album titled Vacancy.

From the relaxing atmospheres to the mellow, head nodding rhythms to the hypnotic samples to the choice of instrumentation, J.Ev creates cinematic, immersive, imaginative listening experiences.

This talented producer first began making beats during his high school years and quickly progressed and grew beyond his Hip Hop foundation to explore the styles of jazz, classical, dubstep and electronica. J is also an actor and author of short stories and screenplays.

Through his screenplay writing, he has been directing and producing a series of short films for which he also designs the soundtracks.

J.Ev has mastered the art of intertwining musical styles which create engaging, attention grabbing, soul nurturing instrumentals as proven on all 12 tracks which make up Vacancy.

Whether featuring quick hi-hats backed by hard, low frequency bass hits, jazzy progressions, reflective moods, or simply sounds to ride to, Vacancy delivers sonic awesomesauce track after track from the beginning until the very end.

This is not an album where one can choose a favorite track as each instrumental blends into the one before and after for a seamless, chilled out, aurally pleasing experience. Trust me, I’ve had this thing on repeat for days.

At this point, the best for you to do is go listen. You can jam it below or connect with J.Ev on Soundcloud.

You can also find him on FB.
