Jeff Oster’s New Age Ambient Funk – Listen To The Horn

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman September 15, 2015 12:38 pm Tagged With: ambient, Funk, Jazz

Jeff Oster-Next

Jeff Oster is the coolest kid on the block with his fresh flavors of new age ambient jazz and the soothing sounds of his new album NEXT.

Next is about claiming who I am, and who I’ve always wanted to be,” says Jeff. “It’s why I live. It takes strength and power to step out into the unknown. Not everyone opens the door and takes the risk to try something new, something you’ve dreamed of for years. And with uncertainty comes the joy of freedom. This album represents my moment to truly make a statement…to claim my place as a musician with something important to share.”

With steady airplay worldwide and a collection of awards including: ZMR Album of the Year (3x winner), multiple #1 albums on NPR’s Echoes, and 2x winner of Best New Age Song in the Independent Music Awards; Oster is no newbie.

This music is a top shelf blend of ambient jazz and funk with the sweetest Horn tones you’ll find this side of the big pond…probably on the other side, too!

Working to this point was no simple journey.

Before NEXT, Jeff honed his craft and worked his way into the music world while driving limos. After friends encouraged him to jump into a finance career, Jeff found himself with a few more luxuries which allowed him to approach music his way on his terms with his people.

Thank goodness for that. If Pink Floyd had decided to record an ambient jazz album, this is exactly what it would sound like.

NEXT is an album you can and will listen to time and time again.

Soothing frequencies, ambient atmospheres, and master musicianship combine to form the ultimate configuration of funk grooves and soulful, jazzy vibes.

Turn it up to 11 and let the music carry you away. This is a ride you don’t want to miss.
