Jorunn Hodne Delivers Uplifting, Infectious Country Music On A Day Like This

Jorunn Hodne-On A Day Like This

Norway based singer/songwriter Jorunn Hodne has arrived with a new album, On A Day Like This, packed full of ten uplifting, feel good, well polished country songs.

Having worked as a journalist in the realm of culture and entertainment, Jorunn decided to switch sides because she had stories to tell and a sound bed of memorable, tride and true country music serves as the foundation for those stories.

On A Day Like This features the excellent writing of Jorunn but she also worked with a team of talented music makers including some of Nashville’s finest. After recording two impressive singles with Paul Moak (Grammy-nominated/ASCAP award winning owner of Smoakstack studio), Jorunn was so inspired she headed back into the studio with producer Larry Beaird of Beaird Music Group to turn those two songs into a full length album.

In the words of Jorunn,

I attacked this project with playfulness and got a group of disgustingly talented musicians who were ready and willing to make this crazy thing happen. We recorded 12 songs in six hours. Give that a thought; it’s ridiculous. But magic happened, and you can hear from the recordings that we had great fun in the studio. There is a good vibration and a feel good atmosphere in every tune.”

And each song definitely holds true to that statement. From beginning to end, On A Day Like This hits your senses with top notch songwriting, pristine production, and feel good vibrations that are guaranteed to lift your spirits and boost your mood no matter the time, place or situation.

Whether you’re listening to the more mellow and sensual When I Say Nothing to the more fun, jazzy vibes of I’m Gonna Leave You For A Texan to the radio ready, infectious title track On A Day Like This, Jorunn Hodne delivers authentic, genuine country music that listeners around the globe will embrace with open arms.

You can connect with Jorunn and discover more music via her official website or Soundcloud. You can also connect on FB or Twitter.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
