If you know me, you know I don’t get into too much rap or hip-hop – usually. Once in a while, though, someone sends me a bangin’ hip-hop track that really kicks ass. That happened the other day.

LEL Brothas of Prescott, AZ sent over their “Hatas” and pretty much rocked my day. DJ Clone and LBC lay it on the line, showing no love for the haters. There’s not a bunch of over-hyped bull about what bad-asses the duo are, just a straight to the point statement. “You can run, but you can’t hide.

Riding a great beat with smooth vocal flow and powerful presence, these cats kick it out like Tech 9 or Ludacris. Intelligent rhymes and verse with well thought out points to the raps keep things interesting. Independent rappers could take a tip, here. Stick to your subject, and put some thought into what you have to say, just like President Obama ( you don’t think he just steps up and spits out moving speeches automatically, do you).

LEL Bros. have toured five countries and had hits in several radio markets. As an on-the-rise indie hip-hop group, I would say this is one to watch!
