Lisa Marie Ellingsen captures the essence of uniquely American styles in her heartfelt, pragmatic approach to music and songwriting.

Her album Nola To Noho was released in May (2017) and features a collection of originals, both old and new, which captures the classic, nostalgia-inducing, old timey sounds of American music styles ranging from folk to blues to country and even gospel.

Lisa’s single A Little Help From Above is the perfect example of her ability to capture that old timey gospel sound in a refreshing and modern way. As the title suggests, this is an acoustic driven jam exploring what happens when you turn your back on God’s love as you realize you actually need A Little Help From Above.

Fans of the classic sounds of folk and Americana will immediately fall for Ellingsen’s vibe, energy, and music.

Her album, Nola To Noho, was produced by Grammy nominated producer Anand Nayak and it was was recorded at Sonelab Studios (Easthampton, MA). Mark Alan Miller (also of Sonelab) mastered the record.

Lisa was responsible for rhythm and lead guitar on the album as well as harmonica and the vocals. Anand Nayak contributed guitar, mandolin and pedal steel while Paul Kochanski grooves on the bass and Jason Smith delivers the rhythm on drums. You can also find the back-up vocal work of Saera Kochanski and Kris Delmhorst. Kris also contributed cello.
