Luca Bash Delivers Potent New Album, Keys of Mine

Luca Bash-Keys of Mine

Following up his previous CMYK project (consisting of 4 acoustic EPs), Italian singer/songwriter Luca Bash has returned with his latest album Keys of Mine.

About the new project, Luca says,

This need to make music evolved into arranging and mastering a new LP with my friends and musicians, spread out among Europe. This wish becomes real in “Keys of Mine” LP, self-produced in 2017, dedicated to the friends that enhance my art.”

Writing his first song in 1999, Luca quickly fell in love with the creative process and began seriously studying music at The University of Music in Rome. During his time there, Luca worked relentlessly on his songwriting while also partaking in other creative projects. After producing thirteen songs, Bash released Dear John which was the first time he received recognition as a singer/songwriter and artist.

When Luca was participating in the International Festival of Songs in Piombino, Italy (where he won an award for best interpretation), he experienced a moment of connection with a fan which sparked the fire that continues to push Luca to continue creating music. He describes that moment like this,

…Before the final part of ‘Dear John,’ I make a pause after a B7, followed by a G. When I reached that point of the song, the crowd was quiet and the silence was incredible. But a young female voice (I didn’t see her face because of the stage lights in front of my eyes) screamed aloud ‘bravo!’ and, despite the fact that I was playing, I heard her. I still remember the shivers. I was unknown, playing a song unknown as well, but able to give emotions. This is the reason why I still compose. For that young girl.”

Keys of Mine includes fifteen tracks of highly enjoyable listening. Luca Bash and his musically talented friends have created a potent album which reminds me quite of bit of the musicality and musicianship found in records by the more well known group Dave Matthews Band.

The energy, the memorability, and the infectiously melodic compositions which make up Keys of Mine guarantee that listeners from a wide array of styles are going to love the songs found on this record.

I can’t choose a favorite song but this album is definitely one to be added to my indie music favorites. It just jams! And it jams in the best of ways!

You can find Keys of Mine on Spotify or Soundcloud.
