Mike Gibbons new project Swells and Storms is much more than music. It’s the culmination of Mike’s love for photography, film, music, nature and oceanography. And it rocks!

“I’m drawn to the adventure of traveling to natural, wild, untouched places—I find that in those spaces I most easily find my inspiration. The music, film, and photography all comes together to create a landscape for that adventure.”

Having toured the West Coast in an effort to unite communities of ocean enthusiasts, inspire outside exploration, as well as highlight the concept of environmental stewardship, Mike’s show was one part media event, one part exhibition and one part rock show.

Gibbons also says the project is meant to honor the surfers, scientists, and activists who all work tirelessly to keep our oceans and wildernesses active and vibrant.

In addition to this intriguing and awesomesauce concept, the album Swells and Storms stands on par with major pop-rock releases.

Gibbons songwriting is engaging. His music is beautiful. The production is precise. Mike’s art takes you to an aquatic wilderness as his passion for nature and ocean takes an audible form.
