Music Tells The Story Of Nashville

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman October 29, 2012 2:27 pm

Tennessee Dream Homes

This is a guest post written by Monte Mohr of TennesseeDreamHomes.com.

For decades Nashville, Tennessee has been recognized as a hot spot because of the thriving music industry. Year after year, visitors and new residents flock to Nashville because of the unique and amazing dynamic felt from the local art, music and entertainment districts. Home buyers and real estate investors know a good thing when they see it and Nashville embodies greatness.

Nashville has been appropriately branded as Music City USA. Downtown Nashville is home to Music Row which is a district famous for its vast music publishing opportunities. The city offers a wide range of live music venues which not only appeal to musicians, but also to the residents of the area. The people living in Nashville can regularly hear live entertainment from both rising stars and world famous artists.

Nashville is home to countless A-list celebrities and legends such as Dolly Parton, Kenney Chesney, Taylor Swift, and Brad Paisley just to name a few. Most recently, Nashville has inspired a new television series that bears the same namesake. And while it’s always fun to spot a celebrity, part of the appealing charm of Nashville is that the people are far less star-struck than other towns. In fact there is a widely accepted, unspoken code in Nashville that says “leave the celebrities alone.”

The combination of neon lights, historic chapels, busy streets and majestic rolling hills have inspired the lyrics for many songs that tell the story of Nashville. While the city offers its residents a rich and vibrant culture filled with incredible opportunities, the people of Nashville never steer away from their strong family values and sense of community. These core values are the reason so many people enjoy raising a family and building a life here.

The real estate in Nashville is as diverse as the residents and culture. Lower taxes, lower utility and public service rates, affordable housing, and strong schools are part of the elements found in the local real estate landscape. There are so many residential developments in the Greater Nashville Area that offer really wonderful amenities for those who live in the community. Single family homes are available through existing sales or new construction. And for people who are interested in the benefits of home ownership without the upkeep of a single family home, there are numerous condominium and townhome options available.

While Nashville was not immune to the recent housing crash, it fared better than most and is now experiencing a faster recovery than the national average. In conjunction with loan interest rates remaining very low, the thriving music industry is a driving force in this recovery. More people are relocating to Nashville because the job market is growing at a faster pace than other parts of Tennessee.

Music is the backbone to this amazing city. The bottom line is that Nashville has found a way to juggle big city living with traditional southern charm and as a result, homeowners have a one-of-a-kind place to live.
