Oakland garage rockers Night Herons have delivered their second album, Relevant Noise.

Much like a bird enjoying it’s bird’s eye view, Night Herons deliver raw, honest observations about life as it unfolds. Channeling these observations into guitar driven, substance packed songs as opposed, to say, writing a novel; the band provides an enlightening soundscape which makes digesting some of the darker themes a lot smoother.

Capturing everything that is great about uncut, uncensored, in your face garage rock, Night Herons deliver a sonic punch that comes with a healthy dose of sonic nuance, unexpected spices, and straight up rock and roll in it’s most potent form.

Consisting of Dana Berry (vox, drums, guitar), Mike Assenzio (guitar) and Larry Huene (guitar, drums), the band is an array of stylistic influences with an emphasis on great guitar sounds and harmonies that rockers can truly appreciate. For Relevant Noise, additional talents were contributed by Mason Holding (bass), Dave Leonard (Titan-Ups, Dartajax), Brad Assenzio (Mike’s brother), and Shea Breaux Wells (Berry’s former band mate who laced the song Let Me In with entrancing vocals). For mixing duties, Mark Gordon (Titan-Ups, Delmarva) came on board to ensure the band achieved the sound they desired for this project.
