Orchard Drive with Books…

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman August 11, 2014 12:06 pm Tagged With: Acoustic, New Jersey, Punk, Rock, United States

Orchard Drive by Books Welcome to the acoustic side of Brian Paris’ songwriting; frontman of veteran New Jersey punk band Bomb Paris.

Brian’s EP – Orchard Drive – is the 4 most rockin’ acoustic songs that have tingled my aural senses in quite some time.

With a unique playing style and an arsenal of cool techniques, an acoustic guitar and some gritty vocals full of passion and soul is all Brian needs. Mr. Paris is a master of his craft and it shines through on this beautiful set of quadruplets.

Track 1, Maypoles, packs a serious lyrical punch as Brian explores the current state of human existence in a technologically dependent world. Brian sings,

…pacify us with technology that requires us to think less. the corporations know and the people are selling points. while nobody cares or notices how our freedoms are lost.

Backed by an all out acoustic assault, Brian’s voice pulls the strings as he sucks us into the music full force. Once you click play, you’re stuck… After a while you begin wondering how one person can do so much with a guitar and a voice.

Musically active for over 20 years, Brian has been a member of several bands and performed across America and Europe. Brian continues playing live sharing his music and stories with fans and fellow musicians at every stop.

Mr. Paris’ lyrical profundity and musical prowess continues through the remaining 3 songs. This is how us intelligent folk like to rock…or should i saw RAWK!!!

These 4 songs just made it onto my “new favorite songs” playlist.
