Phil Gammage Releases Used For Man Sale, A Masterfully Written Album

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman November 7, 2016 11:35 am Tagged With: Americana, Blues, New York City, Pop, Rock, singer, songwriter, United States

Phil Gammage-Used Man For Sale

Phil Gammage is a true performer, creator and a master of the various styles of good ole, tried and true, Roots music.

Phil’s 8th studio album, Used Man For Sale, is now available and includes a solid collection of Gammage originals for your listening pleasure.

Phil’s music and style is a mix of elements akin to Elvis Presley, Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Roy Orbison all blended into a tasty puree of pop-rockin’, bluesy, Americana-loungesque, musical goodness.

Let me see if I can wrap up Phil’s long, impressive career without getting too long winded…

In the Spring of 2016, Phil toured through Europe. His previous solo album Adventures in Bluesland found itself on multiple ‘best of 2014’ lists at Rock NYC (U.S.A.) and NBTMusic (Germany).

In 2013 and 2014, Gammage performed at the CBGB Music Festival. He has also, more recently, shared stages with the likes of Mississippi blues greats Robert Kimbrough Sr., Little Joe Ayers, and Leo “Bud” Welch.

During the 90s, Phil released three solo albums on Europe’s top indie label of that era, New Rose Records (Alex Chilton, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Alejandro Escovedo, Johnny Thunders, and more) And, last but not least, music from Phil’s extensive catalogue has been used in television shows, films, and commercials including spots on A&E, MTV, Style Network, PBS, Comedy Central, Travel Channel, Logo, VH1, Biography, Women’s Entertainment, Centric, and more.

Used Man For Sale is a selection of masterfully crafted Phil Gammage tunes that deliver a sonic experience guaranteed to go straight to your heart, spark your musical memory, and leave you feeling nostalgic for simpler times and simpler ways.

Connect with Phil Gammage on his website or find more music on Bandcamp (plus grab a signed copy of this album).
