Richard Lynch and his honest, pure brand of traditional country music has become a regular on these pages. Today we’re talking about his latest single, Pray On The Radio.

In a culture that has become overly sensitive to…nearly every single thing that anyone anywhere could find minutely offensive… prayer in public places, specifically by those of the Christian faith, has slowly become more of a taboo than embraced as an acceptable practice (by the general populous) over the last couple decades.

When Richard was being interviewed by a radio DJ, the last thing he expected was to be asked to pray on air. It was in that moment the new single came to Richard. In his words,

I was traveling down the highway with my wife Donna and speaking to a DJ on the radio, for an interview. After talking for awhile, he suddenly said, ‘would you mind praying with me on the radio?’ That was indeed a first, and I suddenly found myself with a head and heart full of lyrics.”

Recorded at Beaird Studios in Nashville with producer and Academy of Country Music nominee Larry Beaird (Dolly Parton, Billy Dean), Pray On The Radio is a powerful, radio ready, traditional country single which embraces and captures that moment when Richard was encouraged to be open about his faith on air.
