Rockin Sleepless by Post Trauma

by C Bret Campbell December 31, 2012 12:03 am

00_Sleepless_Available_November_2012Post Trauma’s new disc, “Sleepless” kicks ass! I don’t know any other way to put it. This is a rockin’, ballsy record that has the Middle Tennessee Music team in love with another great independent band! These cats are tight and cover a wide range of styles, sounds, and emotions rockin’ in a truly indie fashion.  They don’t hold themselves back to any one particular style, but everything they do has their own little twist in it. Listen closely to “Wrong Parts” to get what I mean.

“Sleepless” is brutal and tender, simple and complex. No subject is taboo and emotions run wild.

Lead man, Billy Ulrich says –
This is very much my life’s work. It’s taken a year to create. Some of the songs are about pivotal events in my high octane life, while others simply describe the daily routine of being a health care professional by day, a rocker at night, and a full time dreamer, all day, every day.

It seems that Jägermeister have picked them up as a sponsored group, and not a moment too soon! With their knack for being able to switch from West Coast grunge to New York rock and Nashville country or moody alternative, Post Trauma should be a great fit for almost any venue.

They were featured on our new Live Hangouts On Air show, “On First Listen”, recently. This is a new series being brought to you by Middle Tennessee Music and produced by Small Barn Sound TV. We give our  first impressions on a song selected from submissions for review. The songs may come from Mid-Tenn’s ever growing stack of album review submissions, or from individual tunes sent diectly to the show’s host.

We hope to have a special co-host, each week, from the huge number of music industry professionals we have come to know over the past couple of years. We welcome our friends to let us know if they would like to join us for one of these adventures!

All material used on “On First Listen” must be submitted with the understanding that the submitter has the rights to do so and with the agreement that Small Barn Sound, C Bret Campbell and MidTnMusic are granted non-exclusive license to use all audio, video, images and text therein in the broadcast, on our websites and social media pages.
