Roxana Labatt was attending a show in a pre-COVID world when one of the performers left her mesmerized, with her attention locked in until the song was over.

Considering the roller coaster ride that has been 2020, Roxana wrote and has released Hauntingly Hypnotic, a sonic salute to the magic of live shows in small venues featuring unknown songwriters in their rawest and purest form. It’s also a tribute to that lonely songwriter who grabbed her attention that night many months ago.

Roxana was drawn to music from a very young age. Opting for the more traditional route of learning skills that led to high paying salaried jobs with big bonuses and all the perks of the “affluent life”, Roxana found herself with everything typical humans desire yet she was still unfulfilled…unsatisfied.

In 2015, she made a change. She quit her job. She traveled. She wrote non-fiction. Then she moved to Texas and began writing and sharing her songs with a supportive community of creatives.

So far in 2020, Roxana has delivered a series of singles, Hauntingly Hypnotic being one of them. There’s also Shattered, Happy Birthday and The Way.
