Safe-Exchange and P2P networks For Musicians

by C Bret Campbell April 12, 2013 3:03 pm Tagged With: mid tenn listens

tom_jeffries_googleHow can you increase your music sales? One option may be to leverage file sharing sites such as Pirate Bay. A recent startup is out to prove that theory and deliver more direct sales for the musicians involved.

I’ve been talking with Tom Jeffries for a couple months about a new project, just launched for musicians to help promote their work and increase sales. The idea behind www.safe-xchange.com is really quite brilliant. There are aspects I’ve never heard of before, such as affiliate programs that provide a percentage to those who join during the fund-raising campaign on Indie Go Go.

In ep.30 of Mid Tenn Listens, we talk one on one with Tom Jeffries  of SafeXchange.
Tom fills us in on the details of the origin of Safe-Xchange – a new site/service for musicians allowing use of P2P networks and mobile apps for keeping your music sales rolling! From the simple sign up, to the cool sharing offered through the IndieGo-Go campaign for building the apps.

Tom has decades of experience in the music industry from many angles. His expertise has led his vision to something unique and an irresistible desire to make it happen.
