Hailing from Charelston, S.C. Shovels and Rope are Bonnaroo bound (oh, don’t hang me for that one) bringing some authentic stompin’ hillbilly folk to the summer’s biggest event in the middle of Tennessee.

Shovels and Rope is a Charleston, SC band consisting of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. Formed in 2010, they sing harmony driven folk, rock and country songs using two old guitars, a kick drum, a snare, a few tambourines, harmonicas, and and maybe a little keyboard sometimes.
