Sir Joshua Francis Releases New Single “Alimony Street”

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman July 7, 2016 10:34 am Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Sir Joshua Francis-Alimony Street

Veteran singer/songwriter Sir Joshua Francis has arrived with his newest single “Alimony Street“, now streaming on Soundcloud.

Sir Joshua Francis has been performing, writing and recording music since he was 17 years old. Since that time, he has recorded one album per year and a whopping 4 just last year. Considering his age of 43, Sir Joshua Francis’ undeniable work ethic has allowed him to build quite the catalog over the years.

Performing as both a solo act and with his band The Lord Protectors, Sir Joshua Francis’ music covers a wide range of styles but his foundation is definitely rock with a bluesy-folk flavor.

Alimony Street is a simplistic balladesque record infused with strings, Sir Joshua Francis’ powerful vocals, and a subtle but driving acoustic guitar which weaves an eerily comfortable bed of frequencies. This record is an excellent display of how Francis songwriting maintains a flair all its own.

Joshua is currently recording with The Lord Protectors finishing up his acoustic album “Almost Alone” which is part of this year’s trilogy of releases also including “Mule To Rise” and an album of “chick songs” titled “Ladies, Please!”. Visit The Lord Protectors’ website for the latest news and upcoming releases.

Putting his work ethic and expansive catalog to good use, Sir Joshua Francis has made several of his records for charities (such as the mental health charity Rethink). Sir Joshua Francis can also be heard regularly on local radio HCR104FM and PCRFM during the Doc Mason and Most Wanted Shows.

You can connect with Sir Joshua Francis on Soundcloud where you can stream Alimony Street as well as his catalog of music. Joshua is also on FB.
