Stone Diamond Stole The Stars From The Black Night

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman September 16, 2013 1:26 pm Tagged With: Blues, Pop, Rock

We Stole the Stars by Stone Diamond Cy, Josh, and The Tongue have been rocking their hearts out since their early years.

Cy, vocalist and bassist, began jamming with family when he was only 6. Josh, vocalist and guitarist, began making music at age 8; and The Tongue, drummer, started with a 1-drum set at age 8.

From garage band to full on rock and roll matadors, Stone Diamond has delivered a new album infused with a bluesy rock and roll sound that will appeal to a wide range of rockers.

We Stole The Stars From The Black Night is actually this group’s debut album and this is one hell of a way to enter the scene.

Bottom line, these guys rock! Imagine Chris Cornell and Lenny Kravitz coming together to record an album with The Stone Temple Pilots…

Their music is intense, passionate, and full of pure rock and roll energy.

Production and composition duties were handled by Cy who insisted on recording the album live in order to capture the spirit of each song.

When it was time to engineer the drums, the group called on Uli Frost to lend his ears and a helping hand. Other external talent that made it onto this record includes Rick Lawson (drums), Toby Philippen (keyboards), and Grammy award winning mastering engineer, Brian Lucey.

I have a feeling these guys would bring 150% to their stage performance. If you have seen them live, leave a comment and tell us about it.

We Stole The Stars From The Black Night will be available in October but, for now, you connect with the group on Facebook or Twitter.
