Discover My Favorite Bands Performing at Bonnaroo (2025)

Hello again and welcome back to my front porch, my happy place. The fighting teens and screaming toddler have been banished to the inside of the house to have it out thunder-dome style. Last week I gave you a taste of four of my can’t miss bands at Bonnaroo, this week I am going to […]

Bonnaroo-Arch-2013

Middle Tennessee Music is Rockin all over the mid-state, especially at Bonnaroo in Manchester! This year’s line up is staggering, and we have at least 5 representatives on the grounds to soak up every moment! [-update: I’ve heard from 3 of them, counting me. Perhaps J-Gro is still on the Farm…] It’s currently 2:40 in […]

by C Bret Campbell April 4, 2014 6:37 am Tagged With: Bonnaroo

banks-avatars-000035600637-bpkdku-t500x500

It seems these days we can’t count on banks, but it’s pretty much a guarantee we’ll be able to count on BANKS to put on a hell of a show at Bonnaroo this June. The young California musician is one of those “social media” cinderella stories you read about. Springing up almost over night to […]

It’s an all out audio storm from Portland Oregon and it’s going to unleash all its fury on Bonnaroo 2014 in Manchester, TN. It’s Typhoon, an eleven piece band that just flat RoKKs. Starting down their Soundcloud page, one is instantly struck by the crazy rhythm in the beginning of Young Fathers and the surprises […]

Take me back to the days of radio! Ah, hell yeah, his is fun stuff! It’s gonna be awful hard to fit in all the acts that are blowing my mind on the Bonnaroo lineup this year, but Vintage Trouble are definitely on the must see list. Forget all the flack being thrown around about […]

How about a Fanfare for Jonathan Wilson at Bonnaroo 2014

Jonathan-Wilson-YouTube-Clip-Fanfare

Hooked from the first minute. Scanning a bio full of talk about echoplexes and chickens and pianos while the record started might have had something to do with that, but so what? That kinda talk is right up my alley, there, the truth is out. Cruisin’ this year’s Bonnaroo lineup is leaving me wondering (once […]

Rudimental to light up Bonnaroo 2014

by C Bret Campbell March 24, 2014 8:41 am Tagged With: Bonnaroo

Well… you find some interesting stuff out there. Bonnaroo has become legendary for bringing interesting talent from all over. This year seems to be no exception to the rule as Rudimental have been announced on the lineup. To be honest, I was non-plussed when I couldn’t find a bio on their website and the detailed […]

Sarah Jarosz lined up for Sunday at Bonnaroo 2014

MG_7564-1024x682-sarah

Making beautiful music since she was just a youngster, Sarah Jarosz has matured into a deeper kind of artist in her latest release, “Build Me Up From Bones” (sugar Hill). Her voice is strong and hauntingly soothing over the ringing undulations of her guitar. She should make a great addition to the Sunday lineup at […]

Hailing from Charelston, S.C. Shovels and Rope are Bonnaroo bound (oh, don’t hang me for that one) bringing some authentic stompin’ hillbilly folk to the summer’s biggest event in the middle of Tennessee. Shovels and Rope is a Charleston, SC band consisting of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst. Formed in 2010, they sing harmony […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
