Richie Bean and Lonesome Highway have released their newest project, 7 – an aural voyage through various tasty flavors of Americana. A collection of 7 songs, Lonesome Highway drives us through a series of stops along the Hickster life with stories of magical doughnuts, phony party girls, harvest eating prairie crows, and the various obstacles of life, […]

You want Rock ‘N’ Roll? You want REBELMANN!

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman October 13, 2015 12:36 pm Tagged With: Chicago, classic rock, Illinois, Rock, United States

REBELMANN

REBELMANN is the hardest working, most classically epic sounding, and youngest band my ears have had the pleasure of experiencing. Their sound is epic. Their sound is classic. Their sound is HUGE…and all 3 members are teens. Full of ambition and killer musicianship, this trio is the spirit of classic, arena rock reincarnate. Jonathan, Bryce […]

Duotone by Emily Shirley

From the moment I clicked play on Emily Shirley‘s Duotone EP, I was blasted off into a world of catchy, melodic, big-sounding, epic, jazzy indie pop… and I’m hooked. Emily Shirley has a new fan. [Tweet “This is one of the best EPs I’ve heard from a #songwriter since the last time I typed those […]

Chemical Refugee

Chemical Refugee have released the video for their single “Therapy Song“. “Therapy Song” was written while the band lived in Syndney, Australia’s red light district. Staying in hotels mostly used by escort services, the band channeled this atmosphere and its energy into their new project. “Therapy Song” is the first single. Distorted vocals create an […]

Before The Ride by Lanye ft Luke Levenson

Lanye sent in his video for Before The Ride featuring Luke Levenson. On top of being a dope visual, this song is the jam. Turn this one up to 11 and let it ride. I had to hit repeat. Lanye is currently studying music biz at Belmont in Nashville.

Flesh & Metal - iTunes COVER

As much as I have listened to this album over the past few weeks, I should have already written a review on it. However, there’s no time like the present. Make sure to check out our previous interview with Noah. Flesh & Metal is definitely one of the most unique, original, authentic and genre-melding collection […]

Be sure to support Noah’s music by sharing, […]

Figures

Essex (UK) band Figures is set to release their new project Unravel on November 15th but this group of high quality musicians was cool enough to send us an advance copy. Delivering a jammin’ 4 songs in the spirit of ’90s hard and alternative rock, Figures’ progressive sound is akin to a more light-hearted version […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
