Space Legs by Uncle Outrage

Space Legs is probably the catchiest, punkiest, funkiest, dingiest, lo-fi{est}, profoundest, garage rock record I have had the pleasure of enjoying since I started reviewing music as a blogger. When Nils Rasmussen started Uncle Outrage as a joke/hobby in 1999, he had no clue how serious his creative spirit could become. Space Legs is in-your-face […]

Breathing Ash by Begin At Zero

Let me start this off by saying Begin At Zero have balls…. great big balls of steel. This alone has garnered them more publicity and buzz than most bands we come across on a daily basis. Their attitude and approach to pitching their music is what first caught our attention and led to this interview […]

ONWE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21jlf7Gx1_Y ONWE is a three piece experimental indie rock band fronted by the character David Wells, self proclaimed Bushwick cyberpunk and rising person of the internet. Shortly after the debut of their first single, “Unpaid Internship” on Portals back in February, ONWE has risen to become a highly recognisable if not controversial band within the […]

I Must Be Gone And Live or Stay and Die by The Glass Child

It’s not often, especially in this age, we are able to witness the result of an artist who gives up everything to pursue, discover, and refine their creative spirits. The Glass Child, aka Charlotte Eriksson, left everything she had and knew at age 18. She moved to London with intentions of giving all of herself […]

Chasing Ghosts by Tapebenders

Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s indie post-punk-psychedelic-shoegaze rockers the Tapebenders released their new album Chasing Ghosts back in August. We’re a little late to this fantastic voyage of aural stimulation but when the music rocks; the music rocks. After a creative period that resulted in the release of three EPs in a span of 11 months as the […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
