by Leslie Sherman September 26, 2025 7:54 am Tagged With: 2025, indie, indie rock, new music, New Single, Rock, singer, songwriter, United States

With his latest single “One Step Away” Ray Ray Star delivers a song that is as unflinching as it is deeply personal.

Written in fragments over five years ago during a time when he was barely holding on, the song was recently completed after Ray Ray spoke as a guest at a Narcotics Anonymous convention.

It’s a powerful exploration of addiction, relapse and the daily fight to stay clean. A track that will resonate for anyone navigating that razor edge between despair and a glimmer of hope.

Toronto Alt-Rocker No Breaks Jake Comes Alive on New Single “I Don’t Want to Be Like Me”

by Leslie Sherman September 22, 2025 10:50 am Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Toronto’s No Breaks Jake returns with “I Don’t Want to Be Like Me,” a volatile, slow-burning alt-rock track that grapples with identity, guilt, and the longing for self-reinvention. It’s a heavy, emotional unraveling – one that begins in quiet vulnerability and erupts into a wall of fuzzed-out guitar riffs, cathartic screams, and sky-is-falling chaos. The […]

Excuses Excuses Debuts Intricate New Single, “Nothing At All”

by Leslie Sherman September 22, 2025 10:23 am Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Toronto alt-punk rockers Excuses Excuses return with “Nothing At All,” an anthemic, defiant, and raw rallying cry that questions the impact of social media on our increasingly divided world. The track cuts through the noise to encourage listeners to reject the curated smokescreens algorithms present and reclaim an honest, individual perspective on life. Delivering a […]

by Leslie Sherman September 22, 2025 10:18 am Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Where do your thoughts go when the lights are out? In her deliriously raw new single, “Cold Little Fingers,” Hamilton-based indie rock artist Lisa SQ invites listeners into the restless space between dreaming and waking – a late-night freak-out where whispered voices, pounding hearts, and childhood boogeymen dance together in the dark. “Cold Little Fingers” […]

Ger Carriere Dazzles in Candy-Colored Video for “Can I Be Her”

by Leslie Sherman September 17, 2025 12:43 pm Tagged With: singer, songwriter

Ger Carriere’s latest music video isn’t just a visual accompaniment—it’s a fully realized universe. Her single “Can I Be Her” is reimagined through a lens of hyper-femininity, saturated with candy-colored pinks, pastel dreamscapes, and Ger herself cast as a doll navigating a meticulously curated fantasy. The result is glossy, charming, and intentionally over-the-top—a visual playground […]

George Collins’s “Black and White World” is a Soulful Call for Empathy and Unity

by Leslie Sherman September 17, 2025 5:31 am Tagged With: indie rock, new music, New Single, Pop, Prague, Rock, singer, songwriter, United States

In a year dominated by headlines of polarization, political vitriol and heartbreaking acts of violence, including the recent shooting in the U.S. that left communities shaken, George Collins steps forward with a song that refuses to despair.

“Black and White World”, is an upbeat, blue eyed soul inflected pop/rock track that delivers a serious message wrapped in irresistible hooks. It’s the sound of hope dancing back into the room at a time when many of us need it most.

On their debut LP, K808 and Khaledzou have constructed a sound world that is as visually minded as it is musically adventurous, offering listeners a full immersion into their art-school-inspired universe. Alex Thomen’s “Where Did They Go Wrong?” – A Sharp and Satirical Take on Life’s Ironies

by Leslie Sherman September 16, 2025 11:08 am Tagged With: 2025, classical, indie, new music, New Single, Pop, singer, songwriter

Alex Thomen’s latest single “Where Did They Go Wrong?” is a biting and insightful exploration of irony, personal growth and the unexpected paths people take in life.

With sharp observational storytelling, Thomen uses this track to examine three culturally resonant narratives – a boy who once struggled with self-image now proclaims himself as an “alpha male”, an ambitious young woman falls into a multi level marketing scheme and a med student shifts his focus from traditional medicine to alternative therapies. While the characters are fictional , their stories reflect real social phenomena that are especially prevalent in today’s internet – and the social media driven world.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
