Tallying Up The “Hit And Misses” From Damien Lee Beniot

If there is one thing you can tell about Damien Lee Beniot, if nothing else, is that he has a passion for what he does. His craft? Music, in several different aspects I might add.

In case you missed that about him in the bio Damien mentions a little about his passion, his appreciation, and his motivations in the first track “The Struggle to Intro”. I have to start with that fact that some of this southern boy’s beats are real instruments! A very refreshing touch to the generic norm today. Although some of the tracks have the drum machine special behind the lyrics, everything has his personality all over it. He even makes it a family affair with the track “We Got Game” featuring his son Gavin who spits his own verse in the middle.

Damien is not all hip hop though. He showcases his his pickin’ skills in instrumentals such as “Distorted Emotion” and “Into Dust”.

Here is a collaboration with Mr. Keedon Ryan King using a great sample you might recognize. Warning, the lyrics are not anything less than R-rated.

Playing and recording music is not Damien’s only talents. If you check out http://www.youtube.com/user/DamienBenoit/featured you’ll find a slew of how-to videos  on everything from editing video to writing songs.

Mr. Benoit also hosts a Google hangout on air called “HangoutCollab” who’s mission is to simply improve the quality of life through relationship building and setting individual goals.

All in all, Damien Lee Benoit is a fervent lover of music and its works. He brings his A-game and tells it like he sees it. All I can say is keep doing you mane.

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
