Internationally renowned, award-winning, Canada based Americana singer/songwriter and author Tia McGraff has delivered her latest album Stubborn In My Blood. Today I am putting spotlight on her single and cover of One Tin Soldier.

After meeting and marrying her musical and life partner Tommy Parham in Nashville twelve years ago, the duo has enjoyed an extensive career writing, recording and performing together. With such a bond, it is a given that their music exudes a chemistry and an honesty hard to find among male-female duos.

Selling out shows around the world (including Bluebird Cafe in Nashville), receiving international acclaim for their album Crazy Beautiful and radio play on notable shows such as Bob Harris Country on BBC Radio 2, the last couple years have been stand outs for Tia and Tommy. Their music has already received various film and TV placements alongside numerous nominations including Americana CD of the Year during the first round nominations for the 2016 Grammy Awards.

Tia is also a respected children’s author. Her book Jake The Road Dawg has succeeded in raising funds and awareness for her local chapter of The Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Stubborn In My Blood was released earlier in 2018. The first single, Strong, was adopted by the “Me2” and women’s empowerment movements driving exposure for Tia’s music above and beyond that of traditional media outlets. Her latest single is a cover of the class One Tin Soldier and has already hit #22 on the iTunes Canada Country Charts.

Tia’s rendition of this classic is a powerful, upbeat homage to its predecessor.
