Prinz Grizzley – Give Me One More Reason

An Alp at the foot of the mountains of Western Austria. A Man sits in the tall grass in the shade of a tree to escape the midday heat. His view goes over the herd of sheep he was hired to look after for the summer. His motivation isn´t money, he is seeking an answer in this solitude and stripped down life.

Suddenly out of the blue it hits his mind “Country Music”.

Immediately he starts to write down a few lines on a piece of paper he had his lunch wrapped in. The words ring true, the melody is sweet and sad. It feels more real than anything he had done or produced over the last ten years with his Indie-Rock Band that broke up a few months before.

Seems the answer slept in him, it was his passion for American music that he listened to when he was younger but had forgotten about. All it needed, was a closer look into the wild nature of his home to discover the passion again.

Now this man, Chris Comper alias Prinz Grizzley has released the Wide Open Country EP.

Americana, influenced, yet filtered and fed from the ground he now stands on.
