Wendy Webb’s Step Out of Line Packed With Beautiful Songwriter and Top Class Musicianship

Wendy Webb-Step Out Of Line

Singer/songwriter Wendy Webb has delivered her new album Step Out of Line packed full of beautifully crafted songs, soulful vocals and top class musicianship courtesy of some Nashville friends who were attracted to this project.

Step Out of Line is Wendy’s fifth studio album.

Talk To Me displays Wendy’s passionate and soulful vocals.

Step Out Of Line teases us with the amazing musicianship found on the rest of the album. When you hear that trumpet kick in, you’ll know exactly what I mean.

Wendy Webb creates refreshing songs with a distinctive sound and an approach to creation that it is somewhat ritualistic and sacred.

Composing music or writing lyrics happens when I’m alone in a room with the door closed. That space becomes sacred. I have to have time to linger at the piano or with my guitar and see what happens…”

Considering the album was recorded at a private residence in Music City, the album has a very intimate feel; each song guaranteed to pull you into the moment and make you feel the exact thoughts and feelings Wendy expresses through lyric and sound.

Clocking in at 10 solid and well crafted songs, Step Out Of Line features 9 originals and one sweet electric piano rendition of Bob Dylan’s Girl From The North Country.

Is this your first time hearing Wendy Webb? Well…she has quite the portfolio.

This Iowa born songstress has recorded at Radio Progreso Havana, Cuba, played venues such as The Bitter End and Café Vivaldi in New York City and Harry’s Bar in Paris. She currently performs in concerts for sold out crowds at BIG ARTS Strauss Theater in Sanibel, Florida, and she has received honors in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the Lilith Fair Songwriting Competition.

Her song Venus Is Rocking In The Cradle Of The Moon was chosen as Song Of The Year by Phil Maq at WHFR 89.3 FM located in Dearborn, Michigan. Three more songs from her album This Is The Moment were listed as Hot 100 Songs. Phil Maq also honored Webb with the bronze Philby award for Best Pop Album.

Joining her for Step Out Of Line, “songs written under a Nashville skyline with an urban attitude“, are top musical talents Wayne Jackson, David Grissom, Mark T. Jordan, Willie Weeks and Dan Dugmore. Wendy co-wrote and produced with engineer Mark Keller.
