WakeUpSideDowntown by Mike Delledera Band

Mike Delledera‘s genre-bending, uplifting, and imaginative songs were burning a hole in his heart but he needed some help…so he decided to tap into the power of crowd sourcing via Kickstarter. Obviously that campaign was a success because here I am presenting you with this fine piece of work, WakeUpSideDowntown. Having studied classical piano since […]

Change Together by skip duglas

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcXCcHCA0vs Change Together is the newest album from alt-southern-kick-ass-rock group, skip duglas. After the rush of releasing the self titled EP, Rudy disappeared deep into the Mississippi Delta for an inspirational journey through the heart and soul of the delta blues. Knocking the item off his bucket list was just an added bonus. Driving through […]

Jonathan Sprout has dedicated the past 20 years to creating meaningful music for children. In 1994, after reading the results of a poll detailing children’s 10 heroes, Mr. Sprout was discouraged. Some Greener Yard by Leslie DiNicola

Listening to songs by Leslie DiNicola is like flipping through the scrapbook of a poet. Each song a photo. A reflection of a moment in time. The sonic imprint left behind by the experiences of yesterday. “When I look back at the work I’ve done, it’s like going through scrapbooks,” Leslie says thoughtfully. “Each song is […]

The Space Between The Telephone Lines by Juliane Jones

The Space Between The Telephone Lines is one of most interesting albums from a singer/songwriter I have listened to in quite some time. And it was recorded in Nashville. The English/Chinese vocal ensembles of ethnomusicologist Juliane Jones elegantly intertwine languages and cultures over a soundbed of acoustic driven indie folk-pop. “Ethnomusicology and songwriting are similar […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
