Repeatedive-In My Heart I Say Fuck This World

Taipei, Taiwan based indie rockers Repeatedive have arrived with their punk rock infused single titled In My Heart, I Say Fuck This World. Depending on the day and my mood, I can totally relate to this sentiment. In true grunge/punk rock fashion, Repeatedive tackle this topic over a distorted sound bed of loud, noisy guitars, […]

dep-We Are The Lights That Will Not Go Out

I’m a big fan of instrumental albums. Especially when they are as epic, moving and undeniably emotive like the new project from dep, We Are The Lights That Will Not Go Out. North Carolina based dep is the solo project of Danny Peck who has spoken about the structure of electronic music at TEDx and […]

Hamish by Michael Benson-BensonTV

“I started playing guitar when I was 12,” notes Melbourne, Australia-raised, LA-based Hamish Anderson. This child of the ’90s, raised on his dad’s classic rock vinyl, has roots that go deeper than you’d guess. Much deeper. “I don’t think I’d ever thought about guitar before listening to the Beatles’ White Album,” he’ll tell you. “Listening […]

The Soft Underground-Morning World

NYC-based The Soft Underground may hail from the outskirts of Manhattan, but have been hailed as modern decedents of the touchtone bands from Seattle’s 90’s alternative scene. Their forthcoming sophomore follow-up, Morning World, is a much more personal work which continues their penchant for eclectic variation. They labored over the recording process for over two […]

The Ripping Rivers-Ripped Gratification

The Ripping Rivers have arrived with a masterfully crafted, epic sounding, slow cooked and aurally delicious album titled Ripped Gratification. I could get really wordy and go on and on about how hard this album jams. Or how much time went into making sure every tiny detail was molded to perfection. Or how the intricate […]

As the collective attention span shrinks, Eddie Canyon finds himself searching for meaning within the noise. Reaching into and around his Arkansas roots, Eddie carves a distinctively southern Hip Hop undercurrent in his exploratory approach to music. Weaving tales of battling addiction, thoughts on spirituality, and irreverent social commentary into his lyrics, Eddie aims to intrigue his audience at the least, and at most, leave them with a liberating degree of thoughtfulness. In his own words: “The Matrix is real, but there’s a way out.” Support on Spotify or Bandcamp.
